Cleanliness must be one of the top priorities across the entire Brussels-Capital Region.

Such priority should be translated into a clear action plan across five axis:

  1. Fix the governance: institutional simplification
  2. Modernise waste management. Move away from waste collection using bags.
  3. Change behavior at scale: prevention and awareness campaigns
  4. Enforce rules consistently: strict control and sanctions
  5. Drive more efficient management
